Blue Revolution is delighted to announce that The Weekend Vibe with Pat Sharp has received a nomination for ‘Best Regularly Scheduled Music Program’ at the 2008 New York Festival Of Radio Programming.

The weekly 3-hour programme is broadcast on a network of stations around the UK and Europe and is hosted by former Capital Radio & Heart 106.2 DJ Pat Sharp, whose credits also include TV shows such as ‘Fun House’, ‘What’s Up Doc’ and ‘The Games’.

“The Weekend Vibe is one of the most enjoyable programmes I’ve ever done and it’s great to be working with the team at Blue Revolution again,” said Pat Sharp upon hearing the news of the nomination.

Paul Hollins, Managing Director of Blue Revolution, said, “It’s absolutely fantastic news and once again underlines Blue Revolution’s commitment to providing world-class radio programmes.”

The show will battle it out for top honours alongside ‘Fish On Friday’ & ‘Gary Moore – Bluespower’ (produced by Planet Rock), ‘Steve Lamacq’ (produced by Wise Buddah), ‘Marion McPartland’s Piano Jazz’
(produced by Radio Columbia) and ‘New York Philharmonic This Week’ (produced by WFMT, Chicago).

The awards ceremony will take place at the Tribeca Rooftop in Manhattan, New York, on June 19th 2008.
