It’s very easy when working in radio to be stuck in your office, thinking that “no-one out there understands” and you feel you are constantly fighting battles. But sometimes, programmers, presenters and producers forget that they can be their own worst enemy.

Why Radio Networking And Syndication Is The Way Forward
It was announced yesterday by the UK’s Global Radio (owner of Capital FM, Classic FM and Heart) that they were finally, and some would say ‘expectedly’, to make the change within their CHR brands, by networking the remaining stations left over from the Hit Music Network and Galaxy by expanding the Capital FM brand. Now, although I will put my hands up to not understanding why they didn’t extend the “Galaxy” brand rather than dirtying the London heritage brand of Capital FM, I do think this is the right thing to do..

This has been Radio 4's "Book Of The Week" and has been highly rated by The Guardian and The Daily Telegraph (but don't let that put you off!).

Paul and I discussed at length the launch and how we were going to handle it. Would we PR it immediately with all guns blazing or would we "soft launch" it and let our clients use it, make sure they are happy and THEN tell the world? We opted for the latter option.
